This view of the Eastern Cemetery includes the North School in the background. Built in 1867, North School originally housed a small neighborhood school and was completely renovated in the early 1980s to provide housing for Portland's older citizens.

You can also see the steeple of the 1869 Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with scaffolding around it (restoration phase).
